Celje – Yesterday, in the historical archive of Celje (ZAC), they presented an online software solution, which will make material searching easier for users and will enable experts to manage archive collections more effectively. With this solution, ZAC became the first Slovenian archive with a web browser for archive materials. The project was carried out by i-Rose from Laško.

“It’s the first and a very important step towards recognition of the archive and easier accessibility to our materials. The novelty is meant primarily to give users access to the materials and the ability to order materials, which are now listed by international standards. These standards are long known across Europe, but in Slovenia they are just being implemented.” said the director of ZAC Bojan Cvelfar. He also announced the renewal of their website, which will be rearranged into a news portal, which will allow you to order materials or view the most interesting ones in electronic form. ZAC is one of six Slovenian regional historical archives that works in the area of 14 administrative units from Mozirje to Brežice.
