In Laško, they will follow beer kegs
The Laško Brewery and i-Rose have developed a system for tracking beer kegs throughout their life cycle. The system is called i-Track, and it was premiered at Brau Beviale 2008 in Nuremberg, Germany, with the intention of optimizing business processes in the beer industry. This technological innovation is the first of its kind in the world, and it is intended to reduce costs and improve inventory management and the impact on beer quality.
With i-Track, it will be possible to closely monitor all developments in the production, storage, distribution and consumption of draft beer.
The innovation consists of three parts: modular software, tracking terminals and RFID components. The system is currently still in the testing phase, and is expected to come to life next year.
