The successful digitalisation of cultural heritage

Over the past few months, i-Rose d.o.o. in cooperation with the National Library and the University Library carried out extensive digitalisation projects, which enriched the publishing house of digitized materials of Slovenian cultural heritage with the following titles: Ljubljana Bell, New Chords, New Music.

All digitized materials are available within the Digital Library www.dlib.si and the National and University Library www.nuk.si.

The results of the digitalisation are user friendly and available databases. The digitalized content is much more useful than its original form, because they allow searches by data structure or by full text, analysis and fast “scrolling” by content. The use of databases is made possible by the ALEX software, which was created at i-Rose on the basis of 10 years of rich experience in the field of digitalisation and management of large databases.
