RTV Slo, 22. 11. 2008

The Laško brewery and the company i-Rose from Laško invented a beer barrel tracking system. The system is called i-Track which was firstly presented at the Brau Beviale 2008 in Nürnberg, Germany. With it, they are trying to optimize business processes in the brewing industry. It’s the first such invention in the world and with it, the costs should be reduced and inventory management and beer quality should improve.

With i-Track it will be possible to precisely track the whole process of production, storing, distribution and consumption of draft beer. The innovation consists of three parts: modular software, terminals for tracking and RFID components.

The system is currently in the phase of testing and should implemented the upcoming year.
